Geo Explorer is a visual brand: our style is colorful and kid-friendly! This brand kit will help us keep an organized, clean, and consistent visual identity across all our platforms.
Logos
We have a variety of logo options to suite our needs. Be sure to use the proper logo for your use case: e.g., don’t use a Geo Explorer Belize logo if you are talking about Geo Explorer Auburn!
The vertical logo is standard – only use the horizontal logo where it looks better or where space is limited.
Standard Logos
Geo Explorer Labs
Inclusive of ALL mobile labs – this is our all purpose logo.
Our brand identity has been designed with kids in mind: it’s meant to give Nickelodeon/Disney cartoon vibes. Use these graphics to add a splash of color to social media posts, in presentations, or wherever we need to show our visual identity.
These are primarily high quality PNGs (with a transparent background).
Use RGB or HEX for online/web designs. Use CMYK for print and physical media.
Don’t overdo the Auburn Orange… it’s a lot.
Primary colors
Pulled from Auburn University’s primary colors, we use these in our logo and across most designs. These two colors are a core part of our visual identity.
#1. Auburn Blue
HEX: #0b2341
RGB: 11 35 65
CMYK: 99 84 45 50
#2. Auburn Orange

RGB: 232 97 0
CMYK: 4 76 100 0
Secondary colors
Our secondary colors are designed to work well with our primary colors – especially with Auburn Blue. We use these in various ways: #4 is often a background color, #3 is often a divider or subheader color, etc. #9 often accompanies these two.
#3. Offset Blue
HEX: #3d4f67
RGB: 61 79 103
CMYK: 81 65 40 24
#4. Sky Blue
HEX: #a6dbf7

Neutral colors
Neutral colors are useful for backgrounds (#8 or #9), text colors (#5 – #7), etc. Black tends to not look great next to our primary colors, so consider using one of these instead.

Fonts
Our two primary fonts work together – this is an example! The header text (‘Fonts’) above this is Badaboom Pro, and the body text (what you are reading now) is Roboto.
Using our primary fonts is ideal, but not always possible. Badaboom Pro is only available on the web and in Adobe software, and might not be appropriate for certain occasions. When replacing Badaboom Pro, use all capital letters!
In the event that Badaboom Pro feels unprofessional, use the header font of your choice paired with the Geo Explorer logo!
When looking for alternatives to Roboto, you’ll want to search for sans-serif fonts that share its modern, clean, and highly legible qualities. Look for fonts that have a modern sans-serif style.
